From the North on I-95
After passing through Fort McHenry Tunnel, take Exit 52, Route 295 South, Baltimore-Washington Parkway. As you approach Washington, D.C., take the Washington-New York Avenue exit. From New York Avenue, exit on South Dakota Avenue and drive to the sixth light (approx. 1.3 miles). Turn left on Monroe Street and drive to the tenth light and turn left onto Michigan Avenue NE. Go to the second light and make a right onto Harewood Road and after passing the Basilica of the National Shrine on your right, go approximately .25 miles and the Hartke Theatre will be on the right.

From the South - I-95 from Richmond
When I-95 intersects the Capital Beltway (Routes 495 & 95), get on Route 395. Follow Route 395 North across the Potomac River until it ends at New York Avenue, where you must turn right. After the second light, bear right onto M Street. Then turn left onto North Capitol Street. Drive approximately 1.4 miles and turn right onto Michigan Avenue. At the third light turn left onto Harewood Road and go approx. .25 miles and the Hartke Theatre will be on the right.

From the East
Take Route 50 West and exit on South Dakota Avenue. Drive approximately 1.3 miles. Turn left on Monroe Street. Stay on Monroe until it merges with Michigan Avenue. Turn right onto Harewood Road and go approx. .25 miles and the Hartke Theatre will be on the right.From the West - Route 66Route 66 from Virginia empties onto Constitution Avenue. Continue East on Constitution until you pass Second Street, then immediately turn left onto Louisiana Avenue. At the fifth light, turn left onto North Capitol Street and drive approximately 2.1 miles and turn right onto Michigan Avenue. At the third light, turn left onto Harewood Road and drive approx. .25 miles and the Hartke Theatre will be on the right.

From the North - Route 270
Follow 270 South to Washington, D.C., to 495 East. Take Exit 25 (Route 1 South). At approximately 3.5 miles make a right at the light onto Route 410 East-West Highway. At the first light turn left onto Queens Chapel Road/Michigan Avenue. The University is approximately three miles. Turn right onto Harewood Road and drive approx. .25 miles and the Hartke Theatre will be on the right.

From the North - I-95 to 495
At 495 follow signs for 495 West. The road will immediately split. Follow 495/Route 1 College Park. Continue following signs for Route 1 and at the exit make a right onto Route 1 South. After approximately 3.5 miles make a right at the light onto Route 410 East-West Highway. At the first light turn left onto Queens Chapel Road/Michigan Avenue. The University is approximately three miles. Turn right onto Harewood Road and drive approx. .25 miles and the Hartke Theatre will be on the right.

From the Northwest (I-70 East)
In Frederick, MD take exit 53, Route 270 South to Washington. Exit onto Route 495 East (left exit): The Capital Beltway. Take exit 28, New Hampshire Avenue, Route 650 South (Takoma Park). Drive 4.5 miles and turn left onto North Capitol Street and at the 10th light (approx. 2.2 miles) turn left onto Michigan Avenue. At the third light, turn left onto Harewood Road and drive .25 miles where the Hartke Theatre will be on the right.

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
By Taxi: Fare from the airport to CUA is approximately $15-20. CUA’s street address is 620 Michigan Avenue, NE. The Hartke Theatre department’s address is 3801 Harewood Road N.E.

By Metrorail (subway): There is a Metro stop at Reagan airport. By the Yellow Line (Gallery Place), transfer to the Red Line (Glenmont) at Gallery Place. Travel to the Brookland/CUA stop. Bear left when you exit the Brookland-CUA station. Metro fare is approximately $2. Check the directory across from the Metro station on the CUA campus for the location of the Hartke theatre. It is about a 10-minute walk. It is directly across from Curley Hall.

From the Baltimore Washington and Dulles International Airports
Shuttle bus: The Washington Flyer bus shuttle departs BWI and Dulles every half hour between 5:20 a.m. and 11 p.m. for downtown Washington, D.C., making stops at major hotels and the Farragut Square or McPherson Square Metrorail stations on the Blue and Orange Lines. Fare is $25 one way, $50 round trip. Discounts available for three or more passengers.

Bus to Metrorail (subway): The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. Take the Green Line and transfer to the Red Line (Shady Grove) at Fort Totten. Continue to the Brookland-CUA station. Bear left when you exit the Brookland-CUA station. Check the directory across from the Metro station on the CUA campus for the location of the Hartke theatre. It is about a 10-minute walk. It is directly across from Curley Hall.

From Amtrak at Union Station
By Taxi: Cab fare from Union Station to CUA is approximately $7. CUA’s street address is 620 Michigan Avenue, NE. The Theatre department’s address is 3801 Harewood Road N.E.

By Metrorail (subway): There is a Metro stop at Union Station. Fare cards are available before you enter the Metro area. Take the red line to Glenmont, go three stops and get off at Brookland-CUA. Check the directory across from the Metro station on the CUA campus for the location of the Hartke Theatre. It is about a 10-minute walk. It is directly across from Curley Hall.
